Your mini session
Your session includes one parent or caregiver with their children. The mini sessions are 20 minutes long and will focus on traditional images of you with your child in several settings: A white wall by the window, and grey backdrop and a wall panel will be added digitally. After your session you will recieve an unedited proofing gallery for you to choose from. Pick your favourite 5 images to be fully edited and delivered to you electronically. After your session you wll have the option to buy more images and to order prints directly through your gallery. You will receive an electronic contract to sign.

What to wear: I personally love outfits that are a little more dressy than your usual wear. I love neutrals, creams, rich jewel tones, textured knits and textured fabrics. For more than one child I suggest choosing outfits that are similar in shade and colour palette. Avoid mixing colour types such as pastelle with jewel or a black outfit with a white one.

How to prepare your children: To help your kids have a successful session be sure they get a good sleep the night before and have a nap if needed. Make sure they are well fed. If your children arrive hungry they are unlikely to cooperate. Bring treats and rewards as incentives. Have your children dressed and ready to go.

Arrive on time: There is no indoor place to wait but you are welcome to wait in your car if you arrive 10 minutes early. If you are late your session will be shorter. Arriving more than 10 minutes late will cancel your session.

Final Sale: Your session fee is paid in full to book your session. This is a final sale. There are no refunds or session transfers to a later date.

How you can help: Take a soft approach on discipline during your session. Don't call out to your child as it draws their eyes away from the camera. Have a favaourite show downloaded and queued up on your phone just in case. Please don't take your own photos as parents who are trying to take pictures are often too distracted to help and cause a distraction for their children.

Smiles: I always encourage smiles but cannot guarantee that your child will smile during their photos. My main goal to to capture genuine expressions and great eye contact.

Client Closet: I can provide a client closet for your session and can in some cases depending on age, lend an outfit for your child if I have the appropriate size for you. Consider your child and how they handle being dressed or changed. I also have a variety of headbands or bonnets that will fit smaller children which can be available for your use.

FAQ:

Q- Can we switch outfits?

A- Yes you can change your children during their 25 minute session but be aware of the time it takes to change clothes. Also consider your child and how well they handle being changed. Another option to create variety is to have layers or accessories such as a cardigan or scarf you can remove, multiple headbands or bonnets that you can change.

Q- What if my child cries?

A- Sometimes I meet a child who is not ready to be photographed. If your child is crying I suggest offering a small bite sized snack, a favourite lovey toy (in a neutral colour) or a cartoon on your phone. If your child is still upset a parent may need to hold their hand or hold them during their photos. For this reason I suggest parents come ready just in case. A child who doesn't cooperate for photos does not constitute reason for a reshoot or refund. To set your mind at ease I have never had an instance where I was unable to capture some images for a family.
